Porcelain tile has a dense, non-porous structure, so it does not absorb water at all - the moisture absorption level is only 0.5%. This allows it to be used outdoors, where it will be constantly exposed to moisture, wind, sun and other weather factors. In addition, it withstands low temperatures well without deforming or cracking during the freeze-thaw cycle. Nothing will happen to the surface lined with it over the winter, and every spring it will look like new.
